A scientific look at Health and Spirituality
As a pediatrician, neonatologist and scientist, my area of interest is at the intersection of academic science and the real world from which knowledge emerges and where it is directed.
It is in the transcendence of medicine to the human being and in the organicity of the body to the mind that I seek to understand how illness, loss and death characterize mourning and how this is redesigned through belief and reaches the psychic-spiritual experienced in the body and soul of each being.
It is through empirical and theoretical research that I seek to understand both the physical and mental health of patients and their caregivers, whether family members or health professionals.
