Health, Science and Spirituality Integral Group
Established year: 2024
Group leader: Miriam Martins Leal
Main area: Medicine
Institution: Centro Universitário de Brasília (CEUB)
Repercussions of the Group's Work
The Group presents broad lines of research that stand out for their interdisciplinarity involving health, with a focus on medicine and psychology, theology, bioethics and technology. However, it also opens space for discussions related to medical anthropology and sociology. It is concerned with developing research that supports changes in society and in academic settings, providing a foundation for extension projects. Its main research has the Unified Health System as a context, through the analysis of clinical conduct in some congenital malformations. It also seeks to understand the relationship between spirituality and health in the most diverse areas, such as politics, clinics and psychiatrists. It also investigates new methodologies for qualitative analysis through artificial intelligence. Since its inception, it has sought to create exchanges with researchers from abroad, bringing quality Brazilian research to the international stage.
